Life can be interesting sometimes and when you’re faced against the strong hand of Mother Nature it can turn nasty pretty quickly. Natural disasters are something no-one can prepare for and it's hard to tell what turn it will take; In these situations, we have to hope that we’ll be prepared and safe. During this post, I talk on my experiences in Lombok’s strongest and deadliest earthquake - with a Tsunami warning - which sadly took the lives of nearly 1000 people, injured thousands and displaced over 400,000 people. Stranded on the little island of Gili T, Indonesia, I note my journey during the Quake. Pitch black, Alone, and cold… this is a story that will stay with me for life. Read on for Part 1.
